We are seeking an outstanding Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our Bird Care Team.

If you have a passion for caring for wildlife we would like to hear from you.

You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the admittance, care and release of wild birds in the hospital’s care working with our retained veterinary practice, a full time deputy and volunteers.

This is an opportunity to join the hospital at an exciting period in its development and to influence the future direction of our care facilities and policies.

This is a full time role, 35 hours per week on a rota basis, with the hospital normally operational between 8am and 8pm in the summer and 9am and 4pm in the winter, 7 days a week including Bank Holidays and weekends. Under normal circumstances leave is not granted during June, July and August for operational reasons.

About us

Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital Cornwall is the only wildlife centre in Cornwall dedicated purely to the rehabilitation of wild birds and is a registered charity. Caring for both land and sea birds we rescue, treat and rehabilitate over a 1,000 birds every year and always aim to release birds back to the wild. We have exciting plans to develop our historic site in Mousehole and also develop a new fully bio secure seabird centre.
