SUMMARY:Visit to Kehelland Trust
DESCRIPTION:We had a lovely visit to Kehelland College at Kehelland Trust.  \n\n\n\n\n\nOn Wednesday 17th January we gave a presentation at Kehelland Trust showing the work that we do\, with photographs and videos of the various wild birds that have come into our care. The students and teachers were very friendly and asked lots of questions. \n\n\n\nThe students will be building bird boxes soon for the many garden birds that visit their gardens and it was great to see them so interested and excited to start their work. \n\n\n\nMany thanks to everyone for letting us come and see you. We love to share our passion for wild birds with others

DESCRIPTION:What is a BiobBlitz? \n\n\n\nA BioBlitz is a race against time to create a snapshot of the variety of life found in a specific location. \n\n\n\nWildlife experts and the wider public work together\, within a set amount of time\, to find and identify in the area as many species of plants\, animals and fungi as possible. \n\n\n\nBioBlitzes can be carried out anywhere there is wildlife\, including urban areas such as parks\, cemeteries and canals. The records collected during a BioBlitz form part of a genuine scientific survey of the area. \n\n\n\nThe event is an informal and fun way for young people and other members of the public to learn alongside experts\, and share and develop their enthusiasm for nature. People all over the world take part in BioBlitzes. Museum led BioBlitzes often involve activities led by our scientists and other experts\, such as pond dipping\, field surveys and wildlife walks. Participants can also use identification guides and tools like microscopes to help study species. \n\n\n\nFind out more here
