We like to switch up the toys we give the gulls as it encourages them to interact with new things and helps maintain their natural curiosity- something which will be important when for finding food once released.
Gulls are resourceful, inquisitive, and intelligent. They are highly adaptable feeders that opportunistically take a wide range of foods such as fish, insects, earthworms, rodents, eggs, carrion, offal, reptiles, amphibians, seeds, fruit, human refuse, and even other birds. No gull species is a single-prey specialist, and no gull forages using a single feeding method. This why it is important to introduce our youngsters to a variety of foods and enrichment to keep them busy and adaptable.
