We are now an Associate Organisation of the BWRC!

We are pleased to announce that Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital Cornwall is now an associate organisation of the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council.

BWRC’s charitable objective is “to advance the education of the public in respect of the care and welfare of sick, injured and abandoned wild animals”. The BWRC is also the only UK organisation dedicated to improving native wildlife casualty welfare through the support and education of workers in the field.

All of us involved in the running of MWBHC feel strongly about upholding high welfare standards for the birds in our care. As wildlife rehabilitation is a largely unregulated field, we are excited to show our commitment to following best practices and to the continued professional development (CPD) of our staff. As an associate member, it also becomes easier for us to network and share expertise with other BWRC member organisation’s from across the UK.
