Julie joined Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital in 2024 to help raise funds for the ongoing care of the wild birds. Being a local, she has always had an affection for the Hospital bringing birds here for care from an early age and now delighted to be part of the team.
Julie loves animals and currently cares for a rescue tortoise and dog which needed lots of love and care. Her previous roles include running her own businesses and fundraising for other charities.
Julie’s favourite sea bird is the Seagull- because they remind me of home the seaside and fish and chips – all things that make me happy!

Tash grew up in Devon and moved to Cornwall in 2018 to attend university. Living in Cornwall ignited Tash’s passion and interest for wildlife, and she soon became involved in many aspects of marine mammal conservation work. By volunteering for a number of charities, Tash gained experience in areas such as surveying, wildlife photographing and identification work. Further training brought qualifications in rescue, rehabilitation and release for a variety of wildlife, including grey seals, cetaceans and a wide range of bird species.
Her favourite seabird is the puffin, often being referred to as the ‘clown of the sea’. She also loves a sighting of Storm Petrels running across the waves.
