On the 10th, we received a call regarding an adult Herring Gull who had sadly become entangled in roof netting. Thankfully, an amazing member of the public was able to cut him free and transport him safely to Rosevean Vets ![]()
Following triage, he was assessed as suitable for rehabilitation, having escaped with:
• Scrapes to both legs and feet
• Wounds to the right shoulder and wing
Care Plan
• Short course of pain relief
• Daily wound care
• Regular salt soaks
After completing his 7-day isolation period, he has now moved into one of our outdoor aviaries ![]()
Here, he’ll spend a short time rebuilding strength, enjoying pool time, and being assessed for release in the very near future. As you can he’s very happy to be able to get outside and have a good bath! ![]()
