A big thank you to Penryn Campus BioBlitz Committee!
On 29th April 2023, Mel and Holly attended Penryn Campus BioBlitz. A BioBlitz is a 24-hour event in which teams of volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms within their local area as possible.
Students studying at Exeter University, on Penryn Campus, did a fantastic job organising the event and ensuring the day went off without a hitch.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event, talking to people from all walks of life about our work here at Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital Cornwall. Luckily the rain held off and we were able to raise a respectable £50.50 towards our ongoing refurbishments.
