Essential Maintenance at Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital: What You Need to Know

Posted: December 19, 2025 in Uncategorized

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible care for wild birds, urgent and essential maintenance work is now underway at Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital. This work is vital to ensure our facilities remain safe, efficient, and ready for the future.

Because of this, there are currently no birds on site, and our dedicated team will be taking a well-earned break over the next two weeks.

What to Do If You Find a Sick or Injured Bird

While we’re temporarily unavailable, help is still available for wildlife in need:

Contact your local vet
Most veterinary practices offer emergency services throughout the festive season, just as they do for domestic and farm animals. Please call ahead before visiting to ensure they can assist.

Why This Work Matters

Our aviaries and facilities require regular upkeep to maintain high welfare standards for the birds in our care. This essential work will help us continue our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing wild birds back into their natural habitats.
