Did you know that despite their numbers, Herring Gulls are a red-listed species in the United Kingdom due to a precipitous 50% decline in the second half of the 20th century. So whilst it feels like we have a lot down here in Cornwall nationally they are much lower in numbers than they were.
This is why we work so hard to help this species and they are such characters it’s not hard to love them.
