Here at Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital, we have been working hard to get ready for this year’s breeding season.
The bird care team and trustees have reviewed our priorities very carefully and we have decided to only take young gulls between May and October.
If you have found a young gull and you are unable to place it back in the nest or a place of safety nearby you can bring it to us to be care for. If it looks sick or injured please try to take it to a vet for initial first aid. Vets are obliged to offer first aid free of charge for wildlife.
We are available to admit these youngsters 7 days a week between 9.30am & 4.30pm.
We are still available to give advice if you find any sick, injured, or orphaned wild birds via our social media channels and email.
www.helpwildlife.co.uk can help you find alternative wildlife centres for other bird species.
If you feel you could help us with our ever-increasing running costs, please donate if you can via the link at the top of the page.
Alternatively, if you have any ideas for or want to help with fundraising please get in touch.
We are also seeking volunteers to help us in various roles. Please contact us if you would like to become involved or for more information.
