Today we’re celebrating the incredible seas that surround us here in Cornwall—and the wildlife that depends on them.
Every year, we care for seabirds affected by pollution, fishing gear, storms, oiling and food shortages. From exhausted puffins to injured gulls and grounded gannets, so many of our patients are direct reminders of how closely ocean health and wildlife welfare are connected.
Healthy oceans mean:
Cleaner beaches
Safer feeding grounds
Stronger seabird populations
Even small actions can make a big difference—reducing plastic use, disposing of fishing line responsibly, and supporting organisations that protect marine life.
Thank you to everyone who helps us give these birds a second chance ![]()
