Each month, we like to take a moment to thank our supporters for the fundraising work they undertake on behalf of Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital Cornwall. The hospital is relies on charitable donations to keep it running, and everything our community does is gratefully recognised and received.
Our Hospital has been offering care and rehabilitation to birds for almost 100 years – and without doubt, the Torrey Canyon oil spill in 1967 was the most serious event in our history.
Cornwall Wild Bird Hospital Mousehole is not currently open to the public. After an avian flu outbreak saw us close our doors last year for 12 months under DEFRAs orders. We are now allowed on site but have lots of refurbishing and remodelling to do. We will continue to look after our current patients but are unable to admit any other birds.
Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital Cornwall is situated high above the beautiful fishing village of Mousehole, looking out to Mounts Bay from a clifftop vantage point. Why not take a walk into this picturesque Cornish village and discover it’s charm for yourself?
